JAKI KATZ
is a painter, designer and a sculptor whose talents have earned her a stellar reputation over her 35 year career. Jaki's work in the medallic arts in particular, has garnered her significant acclaim, and she has sculpted over one thousand medals, including the United Nations Peacekeeping medal, the Century IV medal for the City of Philadelphia and coins of the realm for any foreign nations.
Jaki's whimsical imagination has also earned her an international reputation as a sculptor of fine collectibles. She has created many sculptures for The Franklin Mint, Noble of Germany, the Hamilton Collection and other sculpture houses.
In 2005 she was commissioned by the Detectives' Endowment Association of the City of New York to create a bronze memorial sculpture honoring their beloved vice-president John "Jack" Healy.
A native of Philadelphia, Jaki's paintings have won awards at numerous exhibitions and in 1986 she was awarded an honorarium at the prestigious Moore College of Art in Philadelphia.
Jaki's current work reflects her love of vivid colors and dynamic storytelling, as well as her sense of humor. She continues to paint and sculpt from her studio in Boise, Idaho.
